SOTS have been offering tailor made course packages specific to client needs, within the Oil & Gas Industry, for over 10 years.

As a trusted Oil & Gas Industry Training Provider to North Sea clients, who set the benchmark for the industry, SOTS extends the offer to the African Continent entering an agreement with SAMTRA to facilitate the courses with their full co-operation and co-ordination.

 The Courses are in line with OPITO and established in co-operation with:

  • Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD)
  • Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PTIL)
  • Climate and Pollution Agency (KLIF)
  • PETRAD

 COURSES ARE OFFERED TO COMPANIES AS COMPANY STANDARD COURSES. CLIENTS CAN REQUEST SPECIFIC TOPICS / COURSE COMBINATIONS TO BE INCLUDED, ALLOWING US TO  PROVIDE A TAILOR MADE PACKAGE THAT IS COMPANY SPECIFIC.

***Individuals may request information on these courses, however note that courses are scheduled subject to minimum participation numbers.

Note: These are not mandatory Oil & Gas Industry courses, but they are accepted in the industry as ‘industry standard courses’ and adds on to ‘skills development’***

sotsccSOTSCC is an independent division of the Stavanger Offshore Technical College (SOTS) in Norway, which receives funding from commercial operations. The Course Centre specializes in providing professional services, skilled training and education in the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore, nationally and internationally.

 

SUMMARY & OBJECTIVE OF THE JOINT VENTURE:

SAMTRA and SOTSCC will work together, sharing information and knowledge in order to bring oil and gas industry specific courses to the Southern Hemisphere through innovation as the courses are offered as a combination of Classroom & Online instruction.

ACHIEVABLE THROUGH:

A comprehensive “Train the Trainer” programme for SAMTRA Instructors, supported by SOTS Course Centre expertise where more complex courses are required.

Courses will be administered by SAMTRA and conducted at its premises in Simon’s Town, near Cape Town.
