Objective:
This course covers practical aspects of refrigeration plant operation, servicing and general maintenance. Usage of refrigeration specific service equipment, safe handling of refrigerants and electrical trouble-shooting are all covered in a practical simulator environment.

- Refrigeration theory
- Marine refrigerated container components and systems
- Usage and safe handling of refrigerants
- Equipment and tools
- Operation of the refrigeration units
- Troubleshooting of system and components
Course Outcomes:
Acquire knowledge in the following fields:
- Systems and components used in refrigeration container units.
- Refrigerants and associated environmental issues.
- Competent operation and maintenance of the different refrigeration units through practical exercise in the on-site Refrigeration Simulator Unit.

No. Instructor carries out continuous evaluation and assessment.
