MARITIME DANGEROUS GOODS
TARGET GROUP:
Shore-based personnel engaged in the transport of dangerous goods and Officers and Ratings responsible for cargo handling on ships carrying dangerous and hazardous goods
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of English – speak, read & write. No pre admission criteria. The course is in two parts with the first half of day one intended for all levels, and the remainder for supervisors and officers
EXIT LEVEL:
Knowledge and understanding of the regulations concerning the safe handling of dangerous and hazardous substances in solid, bulk, or in packaged form, on – and offshore
ASSESSMENT:
Written examination

Certificate of attendance issued by SAMTRA

STCW CODE:
Complies with the relevant sections of the STCW Code, Tables A-II/1, A-II/2 and A-II/3, the SAMSA Code and IMDG Code 1.3.1.5
